For years, Skate AC has been building more than skateparks. We’ve been building opportunities, relationships, and a movement centered around empowering youth through skateboarding.
Now, that mission has a permanent home.
This week, Skate AC proudly celebrated the grand opening and ribbon cutting of our first official headquarters at 1125 Atlantic Avenue in Atlantic City, alongside the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, community leaders, volunteers, supporters, and local residents. The celebration marked another major milestone during what has been a historic month for our organization.
Our new office represents far more than four walls. It serves as a hub where we can continue expanding our programs, organizing events, meeting with community partners, planning future skateparks, coordinating volunteers, and creating new opportunities for youth throughout Atlantic City and beyond.
The ribbon cutting brought together members of the Chamber of Commerce, local officials, nonprofit supporters, families, and skaters who have helped shape Skate AC into what it has become today. We are incredibly grateful to everyone who attended and celebrated this next chapter with us.
A Historic Month for Skate AC
The timing couldn’t have been more fitting.
Just days before opening our headquarters, Skate AC hosted the Uptown Takeover, our largest event to date, drawing hundreds of attendees for professional skateboarding demonstrations, youth giveaways, contests, music, and community programming. The event also received national recognition through coverage by Thrasher Magazine, bringing Atlantic City’s skateboarding community to an international audience.
Building What Comes Next
While we’re proud of these accomplishments, we’re even more excited about what’s next.
This office will become the foundation for expanding our free youth skate lessons, mentorship programs, after-school initiatives, community events, and skatepark development projects. As Skate AC continues working to create safe, welcoming places for young people to learn, grow, and build confidence, having a permanent headquarters allows us to better serve our community every day.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, board members, donors, partners, sponsors, the Greater Atlantic City Chamber of Commerce, and every person who has believed in our mission from the beginning.
We’re just getting started.
Our vision remains the same: build skateparks, strengthen communities, and ensure every young person has access to a safe place to ride, connect, and thrive.
