Mission Statement

About Us

At SkateAC, our mission is to inspire and empower the communities of Atlantic County by creating safe and thoughtfully designed skateparks that foster self-expression, connection, and personal growth. We specialize in building low-impact skateparks that reduce the risk of injury, boost skaters’ confidence, and support skill development at every level. Through world-class infrastructure, impactful events, and opportunities for youth engagement, we aim to keep young people active, focused, and away from harmful influences. By promoting creativity, resilience, and progression in a safe and supportive environment, we strive to shape the next generation of skaters and leaders who will carry the spirit of Atlantic County forward with pride. Together, we’re not just building parks—we’re building futures.

SkateAC is dedicated to building a healthy skateboarding community in South Jersey. Through inclusivity, youth empowerment, and community building, we provide a safe environment where skaters of all backgrounds can grow, connect, and thrive

Story of SkateAC

Beyond building skateparks, SkateAC is dedicated to enriching the community through innovative skate programs that educate, motivate, and mentor local youth. From beginner clinics to skill-building workshops, our programs provide skaters with the tools to grow both on and off their boards. We offer structured opportunities that emphasize perseverance, discipline, and teamwork, helping participants develop confidence and resilience in a supportive environment. By combining thoughtfully designed parks with transformative programs, SkateAC creates lasting opportunities for personal growth and community connection, ensuring a brighter future for Atlantic County.

SkateAC was founded by a group of skaters who grew up getting kicked off every ledge and ramp in South Jersey. After experiencing constant harassment, Jason Klotz, a pro skateboarder, decided to create a nonprofit to provide safe, police-free spaces for local youth to skate, hang out, and avoid negative influences. Today, SkateAC is shaping a new future for young skaters.

Founder Bio

Jason Klotz, a professional skateboarder and South Jersey native, founded SkateAC to change the narrative for local youth. Growing up, Jason saw how skateboarders were treated like loiterers and criminals, with nowhere to go. Frustrated by the lack of support, he committed to giving skaters a safe space to hang out, express themselves, and avoid the risks of street life. Jason’s vision is to foster community and positivity through skateboarding.
